Looking Ahead

The global pandemic has created much uncertainty in our world and has caused numerous cancellations and postponements. We at The Kim Foundation are taking it one day at a time and coping with the pandemic in a variety of ways. Our website offers COVID-19 resources with websites, articles, hotlines, telehealth, and online support. It will soon feature helpful mental health videos as well. We are also looking ahead and starting to prepare for future events.

The Kim Foundation is pleased to announce that our School Resource Fair has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 29th at Bellevue University, a new venue for the fair. The resource fair features organizations from around the community that present to school staff about their behavioral health programs. The area school districts send staff members to attend the fair. School counselors, school psychologists, social workers, administrators, and nurses are able to network with various organizations and listen to formal presentations by each organization. It provides a unique learning experience for all involved.

We are hopeful that schools will be back in session this fall. The Kim Foundation can provide educational presentations to schools, students, and staff that are free of charge. Our presentations are catered to each school’s needs and can cover mental health, suicide prevention, or a combination of both. If your school would be interested in a presentation this fall, please contact us at 402-891-6911 or fill out a form at https://www.thekimfoundation.org/a-voice-for-hope-healing/ to set up a date.

The fall semester will be a time for parent-teacher conferences in the schools as well. As part of our community outreach, The Kim Foundation is involved with hosting resource booths at conferences. The booths provide an opportunity for parents, students, and staff to learn about the foundation and the resources we can provide. If your school would be interested in having a resource booth at your fall conferences, please contact us at 402-891-6911 or info@thekimfoundation.org to schedule a date.

The Kim Foundation works diligently to stay involved in the community by connecting people to resources. We hope you will take advantage of our website and the wealth of resources it contains. We also welcome you to reach out, so that we may offer information, support, and hope to you.
