Blue Angels Special Presentation - Lincoln

This is a unique opportunity for your children to see the Blue Angels prior to the giant gathering at Offutt Air Force Base. This is a private showing. Call the number below to make arrangements to see the Blue Angels in Lincoln on Sept 9.

The Navy's Blue Angels will hold a private performance for people with special needs or disabilities ahead of its Lincoln show.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports (http://bit.ly/r4durH) the Blue Angels flight-stunt team will perform Sept. 10-11 during the Lincoln Airshow. The private performance for people unable to attend the airshow because of special needs or disabilities will be Sept. 9.

The special show will include a flight demonstration, a meet & greet with the Blue Angels pilots and displays of the F/A-18 jets.

Those who'd like to attend the private show should contact Lt. Col. Mary Mild with the Nebraska Air National Guard at mary.mild@ang.af.mil or 402-309-1324. Space is limited.

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Week, locally the Nebraska chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention holds its annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk in Omaha on September 10 and in two other locations in Nebraska later in the month. In its seventh year, the Omaha walk is the second largest Out of the Darkness Walk in the country with more than 1400 participants.

Governor Heineman will make his proclamation at the Capital Building, Warner Chambers, at 2:00 PM on September 13, 2011. Prior to the proclamation, you are invited to attend a special event with the stakeholders, participants, and coalition members with the Nebraska Youth Suicide Prevention Project. Tangier Shrine Center – Screening Day

Changing the world through caring for kids! The Tangier Shine is hosting a screening for kids with bone, muscle, or joint problems. Children are eligible to receive care if they are under the age of 18 with a treatable orthopaedic condition. Income, financial status and/or insurance coverage has no impact on eligibility for services.
