Treating Tobacco Dependence in Behavioral Health Settings – The Bridge Behavioral Health

February 8 & 9, 2017

This is a two day CME/CE certified training developed and presented by Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Addiction Psychiatry Division for nurses, counselors, psychiatrists and other behavioral health professionals. This will prepare the practitioner to effectively deliver tobacco services to smokers with substance use and behavioral health issues.

QPR for Suicide Prevention – Grief’s Journey

Thursday, February 23, 2017

Participants will learn about the nature of suicidal communications and how they may be used as the stimulus for a QPR intervention. Participants are introduced to the history of suicide, suicide prevention, and the spectrum of modern day public health suicide prevention efforts. Participants will gain the confidence to speak to others to save lives and help prevent suicidal behaviors through individual rehearsal and practice through brief role-plays.
