Infant Mental Health

Thursday-Friday, March 1-2, 2010

Paula Zeanah, Ph.D., M.S.N. and Julie Larrieu, Ph.D. will be returning to Nebraska by popular demand March 1-2, 2010.

This two-day conference will enhance the skills of professionals working with abused/neglected/traumatized infants and toddlers and will provide effective intervention strategies to support social and emotional development in the context of the family relationship.

The event will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center, 12520 Westport Pkwy, La Vista, Nebraska.

Cultural Competency in Behavioral Health

Wednesday-Friday, March 10-12, 2010

Nebraska’s population is changing, and as behavioral health providers, we must focus on diversity awareness in Nebraska. Region V Systems, the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center, DHHS Office of Health Disparities & Health Equity, and DHHS Division of Behavioral Health, in conjunction with the Nebraska State Infrastructure Grant for Children's Behavioral Health, present Cultural Competency in Behavioral Health March 10-12, 2010.

Presented by Raponzil “Ra” Drake and the Office of Health Disparities & Health Equity staff, this training will increase your knowledge on the importance of cultural competency and address the question of, “What impact does cultural competence interventions play in the delivery of behavioral health services?”
