The Kim Foundation congratulates Region
6 and Lutheran Family Services as they move forward to ensure
safe and affordable housing for individuals with severe and
persistent mental illness.
Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare has issued
a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to seek qualified individual(s)/organization(s)
interested in obtaining one-time funding to expand housing
opportunities for very low income adults with serious mental
illness. Guidelines for the RFQ are available on the Region
6 website at www.regionsix.com.

Lutheran Family Services recently opened
Josiah Place, a 10-unit apartment complex in North Platte,
Nebraska. Located in Region II, Josiah Place will provide
safe, affordable housing within walking distance of many additional
services. Many individuals with mental illness are able to
live successfully on their own however lack the needed resources
to do so, Josiah Place will help address this need.
