The National Mental Health Consumers’
Self-Help Clearinghouse is unveiling a major new project this
year. The Consumer-Driven Services (CDS) Directory is an important
resource for understanding service issues for consumer-run,
operated and/or administered programs. This Directory will serve
the consumers, providers and advocates by providing a resource
for contacts, as well as design, development and evaluation
information from all kinds of programs across the country.
The CDS Directory can help you link
into the growing network of consumer-run programs and any
program can be listed. In the short term the Clearinghouse
is highlighting several innovative programs from around the
country. Eventually the project will be a much larger searchable
database of services and programs, which will enable users
to find and connect with Consumer-Driven Services in every
locality in the nation.
