Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Omaha began as a formal social service agency in 1926 to offer relief and rehabilitation to Catholic families. Since that time, the agency has seen tremendous growth and today provides its services to individuals and families in need of assistance regardless of race, creed, or socioeconomic status. Over 70,000 individuals were reached in 2007 through the programs of Catholic Charities.

In addition to offering adoption, pregnancy counseling, family and individual counseling, and chemical dependency services, Catholic Charities operates the following services:

• Campus for Hope is the state's largest inpatient chemical dependency treatment facility and provides civil protective custody, detoxification, and short-term, extended care, and outpatient treatment programs.
• Family Passages is a HUD funded transitional living program for homeless families who are victims of domestic violence
• Interfaith Immigration Services provides immigration legal services in English, Spanish, and Sudanese languages to people of lower incomes
• Journeys provides substance abuse evaluations, outpatient and residential treatment, and aftercare to youth
• Juan Diego Center in south Omaha provides assistance to the Latino community
• St. Martin de Porres Center serves as the hub of activity for many programs serving low-income individuals
• The Latina Resource Center provides Hispanic women with services such as English as a second language, health and family-life education, counseling, and aid with job preparation
• The Shelter, a 26-bed residential program for abused women and children

The Mission of Children's Respite Care Center is to provide comprehensive services and family support to medically fragile, developmentally delayed, physically challenged, and behaviorally disordered children and their families by providing services that evoke maximum potential and foster the development of intellectual and social competence.

Children's Respite Care Center provides an array of programs designed specifically for children with special needs that will enable them to reach their maximum potential in terms of health, well being, and social and cognitive development. CRCC was founded on the principle of helping families who had no other viable option for care because of their child's special needs.

Coercion Free Nebraska (CFN) is a coalition committed to improving behavioral health care for youth across Nebraska.

With a vision for all providers to adopt a trauma-informed system of care, Nebraska’s Coercion Free initiative borrows from national models. Each initiative aims to prevent and reduce the practice of using seclusion, restraint and other restrictive interventions for youth in care across Nebraska and the United States.

Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) is a faith-based, not-for-profit, multi-service human care agency with more than 30 locations across Nebraska and locations in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Wichita, Kansas.

Serving over 35,000 individuals annually, LFS’ mission is to provide human care services that build and strengthen individual, family, and community life. LFS’ services-ranging from prevention to intensive treatment-are as diverse as the people they serve. LFS’ programs and services are available to everyone regardless of age, race, religion or income.

Nebraska Advocacy Services, Inc. (NAS), The Center for Disability Rights, Law and Advocacy, is a private, non-profit organization designated by the Governor to protect and advocate for the rights of Nebraskans with significant physical or mental disabilities. From its beginning, NAS has promoted the principles of equality, self-determination, and dignity of persons with disabilities.

NAS is independent of any public or private agency which provides treatment or services to people with disabilities. The board of directors is composed of individuals with disabilities, family members, and other people who are interested in the rights of people with disabilities.

NAS operates seven federally funded protection and advocacy (P&A) programs. The P&A system is a nationwide network of congressionally created, legally based disability rights agencies. P&A organizations within the system each have the authority to provide legal representation and other advocacy services to people with disabilities and, together, comprise the nation's largest provider of legally based advocacy services for people with disabilities.

The mission of PTI Nebraska is to provide training, information and support to parents in Nebraska who have a child, birth through twenty six years of age, with special needs. Resources are provided for parents, other family members, school personnel, and others interested.

PTI Nebraska is a statewide resource for families of children with disabilities and special health care needs.

• PTI Nebraska's staff are parent/professionals who are available to talk to parents and professionals about special education, other services, and disability specific information.
• PTI Nebraska conducts relevant workshops across the state. Parents, professionals and others are encouraged to attend at no cost. Requests for specific workshops are welcome.
• PTI Nebraska has printed and electronic resources available at no cost.
• PTI Nebraska encourages and supports parents in leadership roles locally and statewide.
