Invincible? Risky Behaviors of Youth

Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare presents “Invincible? Risky Behaviors of Youth” Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Westside Community Conference Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Attendees will be able to identify:

• Who are the youth engaging in these risky behaviors and why they started.
• Physical, social and emotional symptoms exhibited that should alert parents and professionals to substance use, risky behaviors, and danger.
• The long and short term effects of risky behaviors and the addiction to these behaviors.
• Roles alcohol and drug usage play in risky behaviors.
• Resources available to help youth engaging in risky behaviors and/or substance abuse.
• Ways to identify the intoxicated youth and initial first responder medical management.
• Current trends in youth drug abuse and the toxicology of common drugs abused.
